Handmade Birds, Established 2010

In 2010, Handmade Birds went from words to action. A love letter to my fellow music obsessives that are bound to the visceral demands of beat and tone, the label was built on an affinity for texture and appreciation of tangible media. The critical fabric of the label was sewn together by four threads: Dark Icons Series, White Label Series, Cassette Series, and the label proper. Adjacent to these series were the sublabels Handmade Beats and Handmade Books. The first release came in 2011 with Celestiial "Desolate North". From 2011-2015 HMB released 73 seminal artifacts, some of which are represented in our "Archive" section.
